The French Branch of the International Law Association, in partnership with the Institut de recherche en droit européen, international et comparé (IRDEIC, Université Toulouse 1 Capitole), will organize a conference in Toulouse (France), on October 13th, 2017 : Le recours aux mécanismes d'audit au sein des institutions internationales.

The speakers will address the legal challenges created by the development of audit mechanisms within various international institutions (UN, European Union, development banks, etc). These mechanisms are created in order to evaluate the overall adequacy and effectiveness of the organization's activities, in the light of various operational procedures and standards.

Four panels and a roundtable will give scholars and practitioners the opportunity to exchange their views regarding this evolution of international institutional law.

The presentations will be made in French.
