Third RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT IN THEORY AND PRACTICE CONFERENCE

Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana (Conference Chair: Professor Vasilka Sancin, Ph.D.) is organizing the third biannual international interdisciplinary scientific conference entitled Responsibility to Protect in Theory and Practice Conference on May 11-12, 2017. The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for scholars and practitioners from a range of disciplines (legal, political science, military and security studies…) to engage in an interdisciplinary academic debate on the concept of Responsibility to Protect (R2P).  More than 60 internationally renowned experts in the field and poster presenters from around the world will present their opinions, thoughts and research work on the issue. The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Ivan Šimonovic, the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General o n Responsibility to Protect.
