British Institute of International and Comparative Law & Asian Yearbook of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law

In conjunction with the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), the editors of the Asian Yearbook of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (AYBHRHL) invite submissions for the above conference to be held at the British Institute of International & Comparative Law, Russell Square, London. The conference focuses on the topic of Islamic law and the implementation of Islamic law in Asia and the Middle East.

AYBHRHL

Islamic Law appears as the featured theme for volume: II of AYBHRHL (2018). AYBHRHL is published annually by Brill-Nijhoff and is edited by Professor Javaid Rehman (Editor-in-Chief) Dr Ayesha Shahid (Associate Editor) and Dr Meryl Dickinson (Assistant Editor). The Yearbook invites submission on a wide variety of human rights and humanitarian issues including those focusing on contemporary socio-economic, legal and political developments impacting upon human rights and humanitarian law within Asia and globally. The Yearbook also welcomes submissions based on theoretical perspectives on human rights and humanitarian law with specific relevance to Asia. Submission deadline for full papers for volume II of AYBHRHL (2018): 1 August, 2017.

Selected papers from the 6 October conference will be published in volume: II AYBHRHL (2018).

Abstracts (for conference papers) should be no more than 500 words in length and should be submitted to Professor Javaid Rehman at Javaid.Rehman@Brunel.ac.uk or Dr Meryl Dickinson at mdickinson@brookes.ac.uk. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15 May 2017.
