Panel Discussion on ICC OTP's Preliminary Examinations in Latin American Key

Lotus Soluciones Legales is pleased to invite the members of ILA to a panel discussion on the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court and its Preliminary Examinations: Latin American Perspectives"

The panel will be held on January 28th, at 10:00 am (GMT-6) via Zoom meeting and live-streamed on the Facebook page of the firm at @LotusSSLL

The discussion will center around different Latin American perspectives on the work of the OTP when it carries out preliminary examinations on situations concerning Latin American countries with a view to determine the existence of reasonable grounds to believe a crime belonging to the competence of the Court has been committed.

The speakers will be:

- Thairi Moya, Ph.D., ICL researcher and advocate,
- J. David Peña Guzmán, LL.M., Managing Partner at AGSTOD Abogados,
- Marco Bocchese, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Illinois 

It will also broach the subject of the subsidiary and complementary nature of the Court's mandate vis a vis situations occurred in the region. 

The speakers will address the audience in Spanish and a translator will be provided for Dr. Bocchese who will participate in English.
