Press Release: 16 May 2016

ILA Cypriot Branch Member joins Study Group

The Cypriot Branch of the International Law Association (ILA) is proud to announce that one of its members, Ms. Diana Louise Constantinide has been accepted to join the study group on the use of domestic law principles for the development of international law. This study group is chaired by Professor Maurice Mendelson QC. Dr Alejandro Carballo is the Rapporteur of this group. Diana is the first member of the Cypriot branch to ever join a study group of the ILA, which is very important in promoting the main goal of the Cypriot Branch in promoting public international law in Cyprus. Diana will have a hands-on experience in a group that is working on summarising and explaining conclusions on how domestic principles have been invoked and applied in relation to international civil service while exploring the institutional functioning of international organisations. Warmest congratulations to Diana; our Branch hopes to further promote such activities among its membership.
