Appointment of Student Representative by the Cypriot Branch of the International Law Association (ILA)
 
On 3 October 2016, the Cypriot Branch of the ILA appointed Ms Antonia Michailidi as its first Student Representative. Ms Michailidi is a 3rd Year Law Student at the University of Central Lancashire - Cyprus Campus, where she has accumulated considerable experience in the area of international iaw at an academic level and also through participation in a variety of relevant conferences. Moreover, she is the International Vice-President of the Executive Committee of her Univercity's Law School Society and a member of the European Law Students Association (ELSA).
 
The role of the Student Representave is a non-executive position within the ILA Cypriot Branch Council and she will be holding this position for a full calendar year. Duties and responsibilities entail liaising with all universities in Cyprus that teaching international law, Cypriot law students abroad and student groups and unions, as well as the representation of the Cypriot Branch of the ILA in events organised by these institutions, such as various student fairs. Her primary task is to promote the work of the Cypriot ILA, to advertise events among students both domestically and abroadand to collaborate with the Public Relations Manager of the Cypriot ILA for the implementation of the association's communications strategy, with a particular focus to students.
