ILA Nicaraguan Branch holds its first meeting in Managua, Nicaragua on 8 February 2017

Nicaraguan Branch held its first meeting in Managua, Nicaragua, 08 February 2017.

The Nicaraguan Branch held its first meeting last February 08, in Managua. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Central American Court of Justice, Senior Legal Advisors of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, Diplomatic Officials of the Republic of Guatemala and Nicaragua, International law professors, lawyers, the Co-Founder of Le Club de Droit International in The Hague and Officials of the United Nations. The Branch used Skype to allow participation to the members who were in different parts of the world at the time date of the meeting.

During its first meeting the Members of the Nicaraguan Branch expressed and reinforced their commitment to the aims of the International Law Association, through “the study, clarification and development of international law, both public and private, and the furtherance of international understanding and respect for international law”.
