The Chair of the ILA Space Law Committee and IISL Board Member Maureen Williams would like to add some information to the description by IISL Board Members present at the Seventy-Eighth ILA Conference in Sydney last August.
The ILA Space Law Committee´s Third Report submitted to the Sydney Conference and prepared by its officers comprises two parts. Part One, by Maureen Williams, addresses, as central topics. dispute settlement, space security, cyber security and related issues, space debris in the current settings, Unispace+50 and its thematic priorities and the legal nature of natural resources, from space and within space, and mining activities thereon. Part Two, by Stephan Hobe, contains a set of Guidelines for Draft Rules on suborbital activities with explanatory notes. The Proceedings of the Sydney Conference, in book format, shall be published shortly.

IISL Board Member Frans von der Dunk acted as editor of Volume 19 of the Elgar Research Collection (series editor Dinah Shelton) on “International Space Law”. Following an Introduction by the editor, the book, comprising more than 800 pages, contains 27 contributions published earlier on key aspects of space law at various other occasions of expert authors, further including IISL Honorary Directors Peter Jankowitsch, Vladlen Vereshchetin, Elisabeth Back-Impallomeni and Francis Lyall, IISL Board Members Joanne Gabrynowicz, Stephan Hobe, Steven Freeland and Maureen Williams, and IISL Members Irmgard Marboe, Matt Schaefer, Jan Helge Mey, Rosa Maria Ramirez de Arellano, Henry Hertzfeld, Atsuyo Ito, Nicolas Peter and StefanKaiser.
