Professor Yuji Iwasawa elected to the International Court of Justice (ICJ)

On 22 June 2018, Yuji Iwasawa, a Vice-Chair of the International Law Association, was elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations as a judge on the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial body of the United Nations.  He was elected to fill a vacancy left by resignation of a judge and will serve until February 2021 to complete the term.
