BIICL - Short Courses in Autumn 2024

The new schedule of Short Courses available for autumn 2024 at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL).

In autumn 2024 BIICL will be offering a number a range of courses including Business and Human Rights, Cyber Operations and International Law, Migration and Refugee Law, Artificial Intelligence Governance, Public International Law in Practice, Climate Change Litigation, Labour Law, International Cultural Heritage Law, Energy Law and Law of the Sea.

In addition this autumn BIICL will offer a new Executive Education programme; Pharmaceuticals and the Law, in partnership with the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

BIICL training combines world leading research with an applied perspective. Their courses are convened and taught by international experts from BIICL’s own team in collaboration with external partners, combining academic expertise with practical experience in these fields of law. They are designed to enable legal practitioners, government officials, students, academics, and civil society organisations to gain expert insights and to deepen their knowledge in areas of international law.

Transitional Justice – Timing and Tools -  Starts 25 September 2024

Cyber Operations and International Law – starts 26 September

International Labour Law – starts 27 September

Climate Change Litigation – 10 October

Energy Law – 2 -3 December (Hybrid)

Law of the Sea – 4 – 5 December (Hybrid)

Discounts for group bookings and individual members of BIICL are also available. A limited number of scholarships are available to enable participation from individuals who cannot otherwise join the courses, and for people from communities that are currently under-represented in the legal community.
